Hydrotect
Hydrotect proves its worth in all areas where perfect hygiene is required. The surface coating for wall and floor tiles offers three important advantages:
- it has an antibacterial effect
- it is extremely easy to clean
- it eliminates disagreeable odours
The effects are based on the principle of the photocatalysis. The catalyst titanium dioxide baked onto the glaze effects a reaction between light, oxygen and air humidity. In this process, activated oxygen forms, which decomposes bacteria, fungi, algae and moss.
With Hydrotect, dirt is washed down by the water and can be easily removed.
Protecta surface upgrading
Better beats good.
Unglazed vitrified tiles are hard-wearing and resistant by nature. Thanks to the ceramic Protecta surface upgrading, the stain and dirt resistance could be improved considerably. During the firing process, the coating applied in-plant is ceramically bonded to the biscuit and closes the existing "micropores" quite natural for unglazed ceramics. In this way, the penetration of substances forming stains is prevented. The subsequent impregnation recommended so far is no longer required.
