Dear Newsletter Subscriber,

As a manufacturer of high-quality architectural ceramics, we supply you with a raw material for architectural projects. We are continuously surprised and excited about where and how our products are used by architects. In the lofty heights of the Swiss Alps, on the UCLA university campus in Los Angeles or in an entirely unusual constellation in a Dutch sports centre.

With every good wish,
Wellness-Hostel Saas Fee
Hotels: maximum feel-good factor

The Wellness Hostel 4000 in Saas-Fee, Switzerland is the first of its kind. With accommodation for 168 guests, some in 4-bed rooms, and WiFi throughout the building, the facility exudes a typical hostel character at first glance. Apart from the minimalist yet cosy design, what is unusual is the sports and spa area spanning 1,900 square metres offering a Finnish sauna, herbal steam bath, whirlpool and a 25-metre pool.
Swimming pools: the sound of sport

The Koning Willem-Alexander sports complex built by Slangen+Koenis architects in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, is not only an example of the outstanding durability of ceramic under extreme conditions but also represents an innovative application in terms of acoustics. Using a standard product – an inclined moulded part for shower trays – the architects designed a 3-D wall which reflects sound diffusely.
Campus Universität of California
Facades: sports facility with an eco-label

The Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion on the University of California campus was opened in 1965 and now offers space for 13,000 spectators. Apart from the home games by the university basketball team – the UCLA Bruins – and sports events, other events and concerts are also held here. From 2010 to 2012, the building was extensively refurbished whereupon it achieved the Green Building LEED Gold label.

Cersaie 2015

In addition to the current Architectural Ceramics and Facade programmes, AGROB BUCHTAL presents selected novelties of the Residential Ceramics collection 2016 at this year’s Cersaie in Bologna: The haptics and the look of Quarzit are reminiscent of exclusive natural stone. The new series Remix conveys the flair of aged cement and stone surfaces. Thanks to its colour and format variety, the wall and floor series offers plenty of creative freedom. With Urban Cotto, AGROB BUCHTAL presents a modern interpretation of classic cotto shades. We are looking forward to welcoming you at our stand A10 B11 in pavilion 36 from September 28 to October 2, 2015.
